A Homemade Halloween Crafts For Dracula’s Chef

You’d be surprised to know that a lot of homemade Halloween crafts can be found in your own kitchen. Cook up some very unique homemade Halloween crafts projects using simple kitchen materials. Learn how to make different varieties of Jack-O-Lanterns, witch kitchen jars, and Halloween treats.

A Different Kind of Jack-O-Lantern

Let’s face it: everyone’s bored and tired of the old Jack-O-Lantern look. Who isn’t? Wouldn’t it be nice to create something different from the rest? But first, learn how to make the basic Jack-O-Lantern.

The first thing you need to do is to draw a circular outline around the stem of the pumpkin. Carve out the outline at an angle you have a cone shape under the lid. Twist the lid off the pumpkin. Remove pulp with a knife and scrape insides with a spoon.

Draw your favorite Jack-O-Lantern face or pattern on the pumpkin and cut through the outline. Place a tea candle or flashlight inside.

Now that you know the basics, you can move on to using different vegetables and fruits as homemade Halloween crafts materials. Use green peppers for goblins, mandarins for mini Jack-O-Lanterns, red peppers for lil’ devils, and melons for pale ghosts.

Witch Kitchen Jars

If you want to add an interesting flavor to your Halloween kitchen with homemade Halloween crafts, the best project would be witch kitchen jars. Your homemade Halloween crafts materials for this project could be endless.

The first thing you will need to do is to paint the lids of old empty jars with spray paint so the old labels will be covered. Popular colors are black, red, silver and green.

Then simply fill those jars with other items. You can put virtually anything in it, such as mushrooms, rice, dried fruits, vegetable roots, and spices. Fill with water.

Think of names such as “Brain Stew” or “Goblin’s Eyeballs”, play around with your Word Processor’s font styles and print your label out on paper.

To make the labels of your witch kitchen jars look aged and old, you can brew tea bags in just-boiled water, remove, and let the tea cool. Pour tea into a spray bottle and spray on your label. Let your label dry on wax paper. Once dry, stick the label on your jar using glue. Brush on varnish if desired. Finish off by tying old-fashioned twine around the neck of the jar.

Halloween Treats

Set aside your witch ingredients and create some real tasty Halloween treats. This homemade Halloween crafts project is especially fun to make for kids. All you need are spoons, candy melt and a few other materials for decoration.

Melt your candy according to instructions and simply dip each spoon into the candy melt, scoop out and lay the melt on parchment paper until the candy is cool enough to take out from the paper. Cover candy with clear cellophane and secure with a ribbon or string.

Cut out an egg carton and paint them on to create fun hats for your candies. Attach yarn to the hats for “hair” and draw on eyes and mouth on the candy plastic with markers. Use green candy melt for witches, white for ghosts, and orange for Jack-O-Lanterns.

These are just few of the tricks you can make for your homemade Halloween project. Now, think of other things you can find in your kitchen to create something spooky and entertaining!

Costa Blanca’s White Coast Perfect for European Holiday

Costa Blanca in the province of Alicante in Spain begins in the north in Denia and goes 200 kilometers, or 125 miles south to Torrevieja. Costa Blanca is Spanish for the White Coast. White beaches, white water caps and many white buildings highlight the area and give it its name. The beaches on the Mediterranean sea make this area a very popular tourist attraction. Tourism and fishing are the area’s two major industries. Costa Blanca as a concept was introduced to market a new flight made available from London to Valencia by British European Airways in 1957. The strip of beach includes the resort towns Benidorm and Altea, Javea and Guardamar, Moraira and Alicante.

Alicante has an international airport the Altet, and is therefore a typical starting off point for a vacation on the Costa Blanca. There are buses, mini-buses and taxis available to take you around town. The city is on the foothills of the Saint Barbara Castle. The Carthaginians built the Saint Barbara Castle in 300 BC. Although the area was in a very good location on the Mediterranean for trade and therefore a constant site of struggle for many centuries, the castle has been well preserved. There is a restaurant now located inside the castle for the public.

The beach is separated from the city by a beautifully decorated tile inlaid walkway. There are flowers and plants along the edges and people set up booths to sell all kinds of handmade articles. There is also a variety of music during the summer. Different orchestras and bands often come to play in Alicante.

Alicante is also famous for its many festivals, including the Saint John Bonfires, where the locals build and burn down large images of different international and local figures. The images are set on fire in a nod to the pagan tradition of bonfires used to dispel evil spirits.

Benidorm is also convenient to the Alicante Airport, and is a very popular tourist town. There are many stretches of beautiful beaches, and an amazing collection of theme parks, from the Terra Mitica Ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman themed roller coaster park to the Aqualandia, Europe’s largest water slide park. Terra Natura is another popular attraction, with beautiful displays of all sorts of exotic animals, including tigers, rhinoceroses, elephants and many, many others. For marine animal lovers, Mundomar is filled with informative underwater dolphins shows, aquariums, and the like.

Benidorm is famous for its nightlife. No matter what your idea of fun is Benidorm has a place for you. Cabarets, British pubs in the “Square,” tapas bars, adult clubs and restaurants, bars and dance clubs are all over Benidorm and more than 4 million tourists a year come to visit each year.

North Cyprus is a neutral country when it comes to religion and you will find a very cosmopolitan mixture in this region of Cyprus. The island of Cyprus is the 3rd largest throughout the Mediterranean coming after Sardinia and Sicily, and it is situated at 65 km south of Turkey. There are several other countries in this region including Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Israel and Greece.

!974 was the year when Cyprus had to be split into 2 halves leaving the Turkish Cypriots in the North and the Greek Cypriots in the south. In the North of Cyprus you will find virtually the lowest property prices in the Mediterranean as well as cheaper rentals.

The shape that Cyprus has taken has come about through the side pressures formed during different geological ages. This has lead to the creation of Capes where the hasn’t been able to cope with the sea’s erosion and also the creation of Gulfs, where the land was not able to cope with the sea’s erosion.

Cyprus in fact hides 2 capes called the Zafer cape which is located on the edge of the Karpaz peninsular and then there is the Korucam Cape on the western side of the island. The composition of the range is largely limestone, dolomite, and marble and they also offer the most spectacular views. You can also find cheap accommodation in the region as there are plenty of North Cyprus villas.

The northern part of the island is lush with vegetation and hosts many varieties of trees and plants including olive trees and carob trees. The largest natural spring on the island is also found in the North and is situated in the Five Finger mountain range. Christmas and Holiday Gift Giving Ideas for Family and Friends

I’ve must say I love the Holidays. The warm feeling of love that surrounds us. The wonderful aroma of holiday food. The bright colors and decorations.

I also love to give and receive gifts. Do you ever wonder how the gift giving tradition started. There are many theories. Here are three.

At some time in our ancient past, friends exchanged evergreen twigs and dried fruits as wishes for continuation and abundance of life in the coming year. Romans exchanged gifts at winter solstice as expressions of affection and brotherhood, giving coins for prosperity, pastries for happiness, and lamps to light one’s journey.

Santa Claus, evolved from St. Nicholas, an actual person who distributed his wealth to the needy through the giving of secret gifts. In the fourth century St. Nicholas had a reputation for his generosity and kindness, especially toward children. He was known for giving treats and small presents to them. St. Nicholas has evolved into the magical Santa Claus of today.

The giving of gifts at Christmas is said to symbolize the gifts the Wise Men brought to the baby Jesus. The wise men brought three gifts with them to honor Jesus, which had prophetic meaning. Gold- a gift for a king, Incense- a gift for a priest and Myrrh- a burial ointment for one who would die

It doesn’t matter if you are giving a gift to a special loved one or an friend from work, you want the person to know you appreciate them. Finding just the right gift can be difficult and time comsuming. I am inserting a link to help you with your holiday shopping. Click here for Special Gift Ideas.

Over the holidays, it might be worth the extra drive if you can save money on foods that you need for your Christmas menu. While this may also be one of the more obvious tips for saving money, remember that preparing the foods yourself for your Christmas menu yourself will definitely save you a lot over buying anything pre-made.

For families who have a buffet style dinner, the option of turning a turkey tenderloin and a ham into a sandwich buffet would be a big hit. Turn it into a pot luck for a less costly with guests bringing a dish to pass for a nice variety. Stretch Your Budget While Earning Extra Christmas Cash

With the economy the way it is right now, most people are really nervous about spending money this Christmas. Now is the time to really make an effort to earn a little extra Christmas Cash while at the same time find good deals to stretch your already tight budget. That way, you can face the new year without the worry of additional credit card debt.

Do you normally have a budget in mind at Christmas time only to find yourself going over it year after year, or worse yet depending on credit cards? If so this is a great time to start looking over your spending habits and see where you can improve to give you some extra Christmas cash now as well as extra money in your budget all year long.

If you would like to earn some extra money then now is the time that many businesses are looking for part time temporary Christmas help. However, if a part time job isn’t an option then look to eBay or local consignment shops as a way to earn some some extra money. Not only will this bring in some extra Christmas cash but you will be getting organized at the same time. After all, where are you going to put all of those new Christmas gifts your friends and family get for you if you don’t make room now?

If you do not have any experience selling on eBay then it might be helpful to look at some current listings and see if any of the items that you have are selling. Kids jackets and winter clothing that are in good condition should do well this time of year. Try putting a few different items together and sell as a lot (buyers love this because they save on shipping). Just make sure that they are the same size and for the same season.

If eBay sounds like too much work then you earn some Christmas cash by taking your gently used items to resale shops. Call in advance to find out how much they pay and exactly what they are looking for. For example, many consignment shops will only take seasonal clothing. You might even find a shop that takes home decor, furniture, etc. Make sure that clothing is clean and pressed and that any household items are free of dirt to get top dollar. Some consignment shops will pay you cash up front while others will split the profit with you. You may not make as much as you would selling on eBay but you should do much better than selling items such as clothing at yard sales.

Some people find that it is easier to do Christmas shopping early by shopping around the weekly sales. However, you can find some incredible sales in the middle of December. If you don’t mind the rush of doing your shopping at the last minute then your Christmas cash should go far. On the other hand, some items such as the hottest toys, gadgets and games should not be left until the last minute since they will be sure to sell out early.

You can also save time, money and gas by doing your holiday shopping on the internet. Many online retailers have really good deals this time of year to help you save more Christmas cash. Many online retailers are also accepting Paypal. Owned by eBay, Paypal is a great alternative to using credit cards online.

These are just a few holiday tips to help your Christmas cash stretch a little further this year and every year.
