The Canary Islands Tourism & Property Nightmare
Plenty of companies in Fuerteventura and the Canary Islands own and rent properties to holidaymakers from other countries. And the main nationals that visit the Canaries are Germans, Brits and Irish.
Now this seems like a tiny section of the worlds varied countries. And there is a very simple reason for this: only a few countries have direct flights to the Canary Islands; and the runways are a little short for the bigger planes. Plus, only a few of these countries have advertising in place for these destinations.
It makes sense that the countries with access to direct flights should push these holiday destinations, but it would be great if other countries could advertise these vacations and maybe approach the airport about routes into the Islands.
There is plenty of room for more airlines and competition, plus the airport in Fuerteventura has been revamped, as a huge population was predicted for 2008, and hundreds of properties have been built in expectancy of this.
But it never came to be. What DID happen was the horrible credit crunch hit airlines and the rest of the world very hard. The gas prices for airlines went through the roof, and this extra expense was passed onto the traveler. This has affected everyone, and now vacations seem to be a secondary consideration.
This is very sad as I live in the Canary Islands and to see the places low on tourists, empty seats on planes, and the tourist attractions simply not attracting tourists, is a crime.
I realize this is a global issue, but I guess it resonates somewhere as small as Fuerteventura that is so dependent on tourism. Its a visible and tangible thing, and when they don’t come, the place is empty.
To see the islands on their knees is horrible, and I am sure everyone around the world is suffering the same. But being here in this microcosm really brings it home.
But the Islands, and Fuerteventura in particular, are great places to visit. They are safe and clean, and the prices out here are amazing. Property is dirt cheap to buy and rent, and the average meal for the family is probably 40% less than the USA.
Come and see us in the Canary Islands, it might mean a little more effort to get here, but I promise you, it will be worth it.
Casas particulares in Cuba
We all know these are difficult days and there is no much money left for holidays and leisure in our pockets. So we have to find cheap alternatives - either that or stay at home and don’t go any where. If you are thinking of going to Cuba on Holidays then I am going to give you a hint on how to cut down on the cost.
There are a number of ways to cut down the cost of your holidays to Cuba and today I would like to focus in one in particular. As I mention before hotels in Cuba are not very cheap with the exception of very few 2 or 3 star hotels that are always full and it is very difficult to find rooms available unless you book like a year in advance or so.
Ok now we know how difficult is to find this hotels. What is left then is something called Casas Particulares. These are private houses in Cuba that rent 1 or 2 rooms at around $30.00 per room per night. Noticed that I said per room if to people are sharing a room it works at $15.00 per person per night. If you are from UK then it works at around 8.00 pounds per person per night. Cheap isn’t it.
There are few things you need to know though. The Cuban government is very strict when it comes to landlords that rent their houses and there are a number of conditions and limitations that you should be aware of before you decide to go for this kind of accommodation.
Tourists are allowed in Casas Particulares as long as they share the house with the Cuban family. There are limitations in terms of how many rooms a landlord can rent and how many passengers on each room.
So what I am trying to say is that staying in Casas Particulares in Cuba is a good idea for cutting down the cost of your holidays to Cuba but is not for everybody. This type of accommodation is suitable for people that have no problem sharing a house with a Cuban family.
There is a way though to get to stay on a private house on your own without having to share with a Cuban family. There are few options available mainly in Havana. The problem is that you are not going to find landlords advertising their rentals on the web on an independent basis because it is illegal. In this case what you should do is to get in touch directly with them and negotiate the terms of your accommodation.

Visit New Landscapes Through RV Camping
Life has such a way of sometimes piling it on with huge work loads and a disorganized home life that a vacation becomes extremely necessary. It might not cross the mind of some, but RV camping could be a surprisingly rejuvenating experience as well inexpensive. Those outside of the camping community might not be aware but RV is an abbreviation for “recreational vehicle” This makes the RV a vehicle that has no limits and gives you the freedom, mobility, and space to do whatever you need to in order to relax and get rid of stress
Anything that rolls- a Winnebago, pick-up truck, van, RV even a motorcycle -can be used to transport a camper from campsite to campsite, activity to activity. Thinks of these vehicles as mobile homes and not tethered, giving you the freedom that home and work life might not give. And by experiencing the physical rigors of camping, rather than lazily sunbathing on a beach, is a better rejuvenation process after several heavy work weeks.
Before actually embarking on an excursion in a RV, consider how long you want it to last. You can opt for Friday, Saturday and Sunday for a trip, or a full week. If it is a new area you are camping in then you may want to consider spending a longer time there in order to familiarize yourself with it. And there is a RV vehicle for any type of camping you want to do; it is just a matter of researching and placing effort into the search for the right one that is necessary
Because there are several models of RVs, a camper has to know which type he needs so as not to overpay. Never buy a RV just based on a preview of its outside, always give a quick sweep of the inner workings of it to make sure they function properly. Fiddle with light switches and doors to make sure they are in working order. And treat the RV like a used car; ask the RV dealer if it is possible that you take it for a spin to ensure it runs smoothly. This is true if you live in the United States, Australia or even Spain.
Once you purchase your new RV, prepare to go on a camping trip by packing practically. Load into the RV only the things you need. Make sure to so a check of the weather so that your clothes choice will anticipate the climate. Be economical with the space inside of the RV during an expedition by being organized and tidy. A RV is supposed to make a trip easier, not more difficult, so keep things arranged in an orderly fashion to make you camping trip go smoothly.
Follow some of these suggestions to have a great, rejuvenating RV camping excursion. New landscapes and new people await to be explored and experienced. Whether you RV camp for the holidays or just for a weekend, nothing is better after a year of work and worry.
Police Auctions - Buy a Used Vehicle from where the Dealerships Do
Have you ever wondered where car dealerships get their used cars and trucks? One of the larger sources is police auctions because they can obtain seized cars and vehicles, usually in great shape, at very low prices. The car dealership will of course turn around and resell the vehicles to the general public for a handsome profit!
Did you know that the public are also allowed to participate in police auctions? Rather then going through a dealer, you can just attend a government or police auction and cut out the middle-man and pocket the difference.
These seized jeeps, cars, trucks, vans, and other vehicles have come from different means including criminals and repossessions. Many of these vehicles are still in new condition as in most cases they are repo’d early on! The same vehicles that would normally be expensive are sold for a factions of their cost at these auctions.
The police seize thousands of vehicles every month all across the country and are in a hurry to get rid of them. Unlike a car dealership the government has paid nothing to obtain the car and their only real cost is keeping inventory. So the result is you have a motivated seller who has basically paid nothing for his items and wants to unload to avoid costs. The bottom line is the government wants to sell fast regardless of the bidding price to avoid inventory burden and associated costs.
When you attend a police auction it is recommended that you bring a mechanic or other expert with you to help you decide on the best vehicles. Also make sure you get there well ahead of when the bidding starts in order to have a chance to look over the vehicles that you are interested in.
Find out where upcoming police auctions are going to be held and the listings at each on the Internet at qualified government and police auctions sites. So how do you find qualified sites among the thousands that are on the web. Government and police auction review sites are a great means to find the right auction sites.
Government and police auction review sites are a great way to find the best auctions. By doing so you will maximize your seach time. Government auction reviews will also direct you away from sites and listings that may be misleading. So do some research on upcoming police auctions and government auctions in your area and start planning now!
What You Should Know About Vacation Rentals in Kissimmee
A vacation to Kissimmee, Florida is the perfect way to spend time with the family while accommodating the interests of every age group. Perfect for young, old and everything in between, the nearby Disney theme parks provide endless entertainment options that are sure to occupy and delight with their childlike ambitions and magical atmosphere. Set your compass for the wonderland of amusements the Kissimmee area has to offer and get ready for a more relaxing and exciting family vacation than you ever dreamed possible.
Kissimmee is less than ten miles from those thrilling magnets known as theme parks, less than twenty from the airport you’ll likely be flying into, and just an hour or so away from a handful of amazing beaches. In other words, everything you need to check off your must-see list will be within easy reach. Be advised, however, that Kissimmee itself is quite magnetic, and if you’ve taken the advice to rent a cozy condo or charming cottage, it might even be hard to tear yourself away from “home” sweet home.
Being found in Central Florida, Kissimmee experiences a more general type of weather. It is usually sunny and humid during the day and gentle at night. The average temperature during the winter months is 60oF while in summer months it averages between 70oF to 90oF. As a whole, the weather in this city is fair throughout the year.
In addition to all of the space you will enjoy in your vacation rental, be sure to take advantage of all the opportunities for entertainment it provides. Continue the Disney theme every night by popping a classic such as The Lion King into the DVD player and curling up on the sofas and chairs for a restful evening together. And if you have some family members who want a little more action, they can head to the gameroom and enjoy a round of pool, a game of ping pong, or a heated contest of darts at their own leisure.
Residents in the Kissimmee vacation home rental will have fun in Disneyland. Disneyland has 4 major theme parks and 2 water parks. The theme parks include the Magical Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM and Animal Kingdom. They can also go and have water fun in water parks like the Wet n’ Wild and Pleasure Island. These theme parks are open daily so better to schedule a day inside for a tour.
“Close to Disney” is a popular tagline of many of these, which is good for most people. Remember, however, that there’s more to the area than princesses in costume and characters on parade. Treat yourself like royalty by allowing for some down time in your schedule. Hang out in your private Jacuzzi, read a novel on the sun porch, and sit back as your honey brings you breakfast in bed. Your spacious, fully-equipped house will give your Florida trip a solid foundation, causing everything else to grow successfully from this one vital element.
All of these extras would be meaningless, however, if your drive to the Disney theme parks was long and stressful. Fortunately, there are numerous Kissimmee vacation rentals available only a few minutes from your favorite attractions so everyday begins only a short car ride away from an exciting adventure. Forget about the kids squirming in their seats, asking how much longer until you arrive, since the magic of every theme park is always within easy reach.
Kissimmee vacation home rental offers the convenience of being just an arm away from your favorite attractions. It also provides the privacy that you can not achieve in other lodging houses. You can also have the luxury of having in a memorable vacation.

Thoughtful Opinions On What To Take On Your Trip
Be it a business trip or a pleasure one, when one goes on a tour he/she always want it to be enjoyable and worth remembering. The following are some guidelines that can help travelers to handle the things better when they are out of doors.
1. Itinerary
The places to be visited should be chalked out and listed on a paper before you hit the roads. If the arrangements are made accordingly from beforehand then traveling becomes easier and more enjoyable.
2. Essentials
The personal belongings like ticket, passport, toothbrush and money should be kept near at hand for ready access whenever the necessity arises.
3. Clothes
The clothes should be packed only after you check the weather condition of your destination. Otherwise it becomes a burden to carry redundant luggage. Only right clothes should be packed in.
4. Shoes
Traveling requires a lot of walking and visiting places and so the shoes worn should be comfortable and strong.
5. Medication
Insect repellent is a must while traveling. If one is under medication then the medicines should be packed carefully. There should be enough provision of medicines when one is out of home.
6. Locks and keys
One must see to it that the luggage one carries in the tour is safely locked. The spares should be hidden carefully so that it never gets lost.
7. Extra Bag
An extra bag should always be carried in the luggage. It acts as a day luggage in case you carry light things while going out on sight-seeing and also comes handy when you take back home some souvenirs and mementos.
8. Map
A map should be obtained of the destination s that you are never lost in the unknown place.
9. Insurance
In case you are planning to drive down the trip instead of using any public vehicle then the rental vehicle should be insured before you set off.
After taking the car on rent please check immediately that it is not damaged in any way. If there is the rental company should be insisted to replace it or keep a note of it.
10. Label
Your luggage should always contain your name. This is to avoid the common mistake of mixing up luggage with that of the other passengers. The address should not be written on the luggage but should be left with the carrier on which you are flying.
Enjoy a nice trip!
Boomers Banking Concept using your IRA Boomer’s Bank In investment finance, private equity real estate is an asset class consisting of equity and debt investments in property. Investments typically involve an active management strategy ranging from moder
History and evolution There is a long history of institutional investment in real estate both through direct ownership of property and through pooled investment funds. Initially institutional real estate investments were in core real estate, however, market conditions in the early 1990s led to the emergence of opportunistic funds which aimed to take advantage of falling property prices to acquire assets at significant discounts.[1] Private equity real estate emerged as an independent asset class in the beginning of the 21st century and has experienced huge growth in recent years. Strategies Private equity real estate funds generally follow core-plus, value added, or opportunistic strategies when making investment’s.
Core Plus: This is a moderate risk/moderate return strategy. The fund will generally invest in core properties, however some of these properties will require some form of enhancement or value-added element. Value Added: This is a medium-to-high risk/medium-to-high return strategy. It will involve buying a property, improving it in some way, and selling it at an opportune time for a gain. Properties are considered value added when they exhibit management or operational problems, require physical improvement, and/or suffer from capital constraint’s.
Opportunistic: This is a high risk/high return strategy. The properties will require a high degree of enhancement. This strategy may also involve investments in development, raw land, and niche property sectors. Investments are tactical. Features Considerations for investing in private equity real estate funds relative to other forms of investment
Include: Substantial entry costs, with most funds requiring significant initial investment (usually upwards of $1,000,000) plus further investment for the first few years of the fund. Investments in limited partnership interests (which is the dominant legal form of private equity real estate funds) are referred to as “illiquid” investment’s which should earn a premium over traditional securities, such as stocks and bonds. Once invested, it is very difficult to gain access to your money as it is locked-up in long-term investment’s which can last for as long as twelve years. Distributions are made only as investments are converted to cash; limited partners typically have no right to demand that sales be made. If a private equity real estate firm can’t find suitable investment opportunities, it will not draw on an investor’s commitment. Given the risks associated with private equity real estate investments, an investor can lose all of its investment if the fund performs badly.
For the above mentioned reasons, private equity fund investment is for those who can afford to have their capital locked in for long periods of time and who are able to risk losing significant amounts of money. This is balanced by the potential benefits of annual returns, which are often excess of 20% for successful opportunistic funds. Investors in private equity real estate funds tend, therefore, to be institutional investors or high net worth individuals.
Size of Industry The popularity of private equity real estate funds has grown since 2000 as an increasing number of investors commit more capital to the asset class. In 2000 private equity real estate funds raised $12 billion in equity commitments from investors. By 2005 this had increased to $58 billion and in 2007 private equity real estate funds raised a total of $79 billion. Private Equity Real Estate is a global asset class and in 2007, 46% of capital raised was focused on the US, 26% was focused on Europe and 27% was targeting Asia and the rest of the world.
