Halfway into the water that little bit of fear began to subside. I felt so free I forgot about all my worries, and quickly knew that I had fallen in love with water skiing. What a thrill ride it was, screaming at the top of my lungs “I am king of the lake, that’s right you heard me, king of the lake!” It felt so good to see my son turn around for a second and see that I wasn’t scared. My wife looked on from the shore and just smiled. I yelled “Honey you should try this out!” even though I knew she couldn’t hear me.
