Experience A Life of Royalty For A Night in Switzerland
Every wondered what it would be like to be king or queen for a night? At Beau Rivage Palace, you can do just that. Even better, the resort is located in Lausanne, Switzerland, one of the most beautiful places in the world.
As the name suggests, the palace is steeped in tradition. The balls held here in the 1800s were the domain of high society and royalty. The Great Ballroom is a site to see as are the grounds with their beautiful landscaping and epic views.
A day at Beau Rivage is nice, but a night is divine. The palace lights up like the moon on a crystal clear night. This impression is enhanced by the reflection of the palace in the waters that frame the resort. It is something that has to be seen to be believed.
As if that is not enough, there is the spa proper. Beau Rivage offers a bevy of treatments that will turn back the years for your body. You probably do not remember coming out of the womb, but this will be a close approximation.
From body scrubs laced with fine flowers and exotic sugars to bathes that include some of the best oils in all the land, this is far more than an ordinary spa. From the moment you walk through the grand columns during arrival, you will note that this is one spot on earth where every little detail has been accounted for.
Although now a resort, Beau Rivage has not lost any of its royal glamour. The walls are stone with silken draperies. The floors and stairways are pure marble. Your room? It is so decadent, it is sinful. Heck, you might not leave!
Wake up and walk out onto your private terrace. Sip a coffee and enjoy the peaceful view of the river and palatial grounds. I would hazard to guess it is physically impossible to be stressed out here. It is simply to beautiful and peaceful.
Many decades ago only the truly rich could enjoy such fantastic indulgences. Today, anyone can book a room at this palace. Imagine spending one night in the ultimate lap of luxury. Would it be worth it? Oh, yes.
So, will this kingly experience come with a kingly price? Not really. The rates are surprisingly reasonable considering the accommodations. They begin at 450 Swiss Francs for a room with a garden view.
