Over the past decade, the Western Cape of South Africa has experienced significant real estate growth that registers on a global scale. The overall returns from investment in South African real estate show a 15.1% return in the year 2007. This is higher than sixteen other major countries and has established South Africa as a solid force in the international real estate market. As the most developed part of South Africa, the Western Cape of South Africa is in the middle of most of the success.
The Western Cape of South Africa has some incredible residential real estate in the neighborhoods of Cape Town. One of the most exclusive areas is Clifton, the place where people come to see and be seen. Exclusive homes, nestled on cliffs, have sweeping view of the Atlantic Ocean. The beaches are pure white granite sand, and protected from the high south-easterly wind.
Clifton is only one of many desirable places to live on the Atlantic coast. There is also Camps Bay, another upscale neighborhood of Cape Town. With Palm-lined beaches and and exclusive shops and cafes, Clifton is also a popular destination for tourists during the winter months; when they flock to the Western Cape of South Africa.
For an Atlantic Ocean home a little further from the beaten path, Llandudno is a private, wealthy beach town with no shopping or tourism. The homes are beautiful and the beach itself is tranquil, which makes this suburb one of the most exclusive in the Western Cape of South Africa.
Downtown Cape Town itself is a whole other world of neighborhoods and residential real estate. Here you will find the Newlands, an upscale suburb for families at the base of Table Mountain. The Newlands is best known in the Western Cape of South Africa for its rugby, because the Newlands stadium is located here. However, home owners love it for the steady rain fall which produces lush landscaping, and the gorgeous homes whose properties back right into Table Mountain.
Perhaps the trendiest neighborhood in Cape Town is De Waterkant. Right near the famous Victor and Albert Waterfront, De Waterkant is made up of the cobble stone streets and the Cape Dutch style buildings that the Western Cape of South Africa is famous for. This is the area closest to the business district of Cape Town, so many young professional live here.
To get entirely away from city life, many home buyers have found peace in the wine country or the Garden route of the Western Cape of South Africa. Properties here include newer homes, historic estates, and vacant land for building. The scenery is pastoral and the pace is slower here in the valley.
The Western Cape of South Africa has so many different kinds of homes available for prospective buyers. There are beach homes, luxury estates, single family homes, condominiums, town homes, and commercial properties as well.
